SCRIP LAUNCHES 7th ANNUAL PHARMA INDUSTRY AWARDS
LONDON – Monday, 09 May 2011 – SCRIP Intelligence– the flagship title of the global pharmaceutical industry – has opened nominations for its internationally renowned annual awards ceremony, the Scrip Awards 2011. The black tie dinner event will be held on November 3rd in the Ballroom at London’s famous Grosvenor House Hotel, where some 600 guests will pay tribute to their peers at the pharmaceutical industry’s most prestigious and hotly-contested awards event.
Now in its seventh year, the Scrip Awards will once again recognise the essential but often undervalued contribution of pharmaceutical and biotech companies to the improvement of healthcare worldwide.
A total of 15 categories, including a lifetime achievement award, will acknowledge effort and achievement across all parts of the industry ranging from large pharma to small and medium enterprises and covering new drugs, management teams, licensing deals, biotechnology, pipelines, CSR, and partnership alliances.
“A Scrip Award is a highly respected accolade that is recognised throughout the industry as a mark of achievement and valuable contribution to science and the advancement of healthcare which improves the lives of people in every country around the world,” says Mike Ward, Editor-in-Chief – SCRIP Intelligence. “Each award is a testament to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes of drug development.”
“The Scrip Awards provides an opportunity to showcase the very best in your business, honour the nominees and winners, and take pride in the valuable work you do,” explains Ward. “The ceremony also provides a unique opportunity to meet old colleagues and friends and to make new business acquaintances.
A judging panel comprising 16 independent senior industry experts chosen for their knowledge and objectivity will consider and score each entry and draw up a shortlist of finalists, which will be announced by Scrip. Awards attendees will enjoy a champagne reception and dinner before the highlight of the evening – the announcement of the winners in each of the 15 categories.
