REDEL XP, Enabling New Connections

Rohnert Park, California — LEMO, a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision custom connection solutions is introducing the new REDEL XP. This new connector is a revolutionary patented solution of the plastic Push-Pull connectors which were originally introduced to the medical market back in 1964. The new REDEL XP connector is designed using a plastic material that is friendly to sterilization processes. The latching system is now embedded in the shell for an increased impact resistance with a high contact density making this an ideal solution for medical or measurement applications, from catheters to surgical instruments.

The new REDEL XP is available with four different keyways to prevent inadvertent cross connects or misconnects by the user. The outershell standard color is gray with an option of white or black. Backnuts and receptacle front nuts are available in seven colors, again for application identification. Contact configurations range from 4 to 22 contacts and can be crimp or solder type. This new design includes an ergonomic grip which makes it much easier for surgeons and medical staff to mate and align the connection.

LEMO will be displaying the new REDEL XP connector at the MDM WEST Electronics Show, February 8-12, 2011, Anaheim, California, Booth #1868. LEMO will also be a speaker in the Innovation Theater, Theater 1, Booth #639. We encourage you to stop by the theater or the booth to talk with LEMO and register for the drawing to win a USB Video Pen.
