IMAP ELECTS SCOTT EISENBERG AS ITS NEW CHAIRMAN AND GILBERTO ESCOBEDO AS PRESIDENT

ISTANBUL – November 1, 2012 – IMAP, the exclusive global merger and acquisition (M&A) partnership, is pleased to announce that it has elected Scott Eisenberg as its new chairman and Gilberto Escobedo as its new president, during its Fall Conference in Antalya, Turkey. Mr. Eisenberg and Mr. Escobedo succeed Sevket Basev, who previously served as IMAP’s chairman and CEO.

Mr. Eisenberg is the founder and managing partner of IMAP Detroit (Amherst Partners). He has more than 25 years of experience structuring and negotiating transactions and advising companies on financial matters. His experience includes merger and acquisition transactions, restructuring and turnaround engagements, and a wide variety of management advisory services. Mr. Eisenberg has worked on over 75 investment banking assignments and has advised more than 200 manufacturing, service, financial services and technology companies. Many of his completed transactions involved publicly traded companies. His accolades include recognition as one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ “40 Under 40” and a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2007 and 2008. Mr. Eisenberg earned his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois, his MBA in finance from Indiana University and is a CPA.

Mr. Escobedo is founding partner of IMAP Mexico (Serficor Partners). His experience has been centered in the analysis and implementation of strategies for M&A, private equity, and project finance. He has extensive knowledge of the business environment and financial markets in Mexico, as well as the ties of the Mexican market with the United States and Europe. He has participated in buy- and sell-side assignments for more than 25 companies in several industries, in the design and implementation of financial structures for investment projects in the electricity, toll road, and petrochemical areas, as well as in private equity placements for middle market firms. He has advised both Mexican and foreign clients, including Grupo Embotelladores del Sureste, Grupo Vendes, Nacional Financiera, Banobras, Andrade Gutiérrez, Prudential Financial, and Henkel KgA. Mr. Escobedo is also a professor of business administration, economics, and finance courses at the graduate and undergraduate level in Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City. He has an MBA from the Booth School at the University of Chicago.
