DecisionPoint Systems (OTCBB:DNPI) Where Will Wireless ID Take Us?

West Palm Beach, FL — May 18, 2010 / (http://www.myprgenie.com) — I spoke with CEO Nic Toms this morning and my head is still spinning…and I am not new to RFID. What surprises me is the range of applications already in the works which is all encompassing yet frightening in the same breath. It seems that mobile solutions combined with passive tracking devices can explode on the scene at any time. It’s still hard for me to imagine this 10M marketcap company with 10M in rev’s per quarter is’t catching investor eyes. Dig into the revenue opportunity available for the Security Space and the pending RFP’s out and it boggles the mind.

Yak up your thinking and consider Pharma recalls with pill bottle tracking availability, and extend your thinking to high end apparel. Much of this information is not listed on the website. But the large prize is any relationship with the US Military. I asked Nic about the prospects for the company with the US Military and he responded ” We are doing a great deal of mission critical work with the military. About three years ago, we started a program with the US Air Force Reserve to develop a complete inventory control system for deployment first to the USAF Reserve. This we did successfully equipping all 232 of their bases with our system by the end of 2008 in what has been a $6 million program to date. The Air force was delighted with the results of this and awarded us approximately $2 million of additional orders to equip the Air National Guard. We have now delivered Release 4 of our software to them and upon acceptance, we are in line to start deploying the system to the approximately 2,300 Active Air Force bases around the world. In addition, we are also expecting to begin deploying this system to other branches of the Military, starting with US Army.”
