Why Automate Company Processes with an Intelligent BPMS?

August 18, 2015 – AURA (www.auraportal.com), a global provider of AuraPortal. Business Process Management (BPM) software, highlighted the importance of automating processes using tools like AuraPortal, positioned at the Top of the “Visionaries” in Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for iBPMS 2015“.

BPM has proven to be much more effective than the traditional functional management, but is still insufficient. Even the best processes in the world are useless if the people involved in them do not perform their work as they should.

Implementing a BPM in a company has become synonymous to implementing a BPMS (Business Process Management Suite), as this is the software which supports the BPM. Not doing it this way would be as ineffective as doing company accounts by hand or with the aid of a spreadsheet instead of using an application specifically designed for this purpose.

Yet, the vast majority of implemented BPM projects remain focused on Business Process Reengineering, Process Maps, etc., always on a theoretical level, so it is very difficult to justify the time and costs involved in relation to the benefits gained.

Thus the theoretical methodology is necessary but insufficient, as a BPMS project is much more than the mere implementation of a software tool:

• A BPM project, although properly resolved, remains theoretical and does not ensure compliance since, in time, good intentions fade and many projects are left unfinished.

• A correctly resolved BPMS project really does solve the problem, as it automatically drives compliance.

The implementation of a BPMS involves inputting the theoretical principles of BPM which are accounted for during company analysis. This analysis involves the application of criteria, models and rules (such as ISO, EFQM, SWOT, Six Sigma, etc.) so that the system itself can optimize the processes, automate as many operations as possible, control their strict compliance and perform the necessary analysis to ensure continuous improvement. Thus, a BPMS project naturally includes BPM.

Automating process management with an iBPMS (intelligent Business Process Management Suite, which is the natural evolution of BPMS) is the epitome of saving time and costs and also of security in the execution of company processes, generating a ROI (Return on Investment) that business management software applications have been unable to achieve until now.
