Intergraph® Expands GeoMedia® Solutions Suite Through Partnership with PureData in Australia

SYDNEY, Australia, Sept. 15, 2010 – Intergraph® has partnered with PureData, an engineering asset management provider in Australia with expertise in video-based data acquisition to expand its GeoMedia® suite of solutions. The additional capability strengthens Intergraph’s expanding video capability and enhances GeoMedia as the GIS solution of choice for advanced geospatial data management, analysis and distribution.

GeoMedia enables users to bring data from disparate databases into a single GIS database environment for viewing, analysis, and presentation without the need to translate any data. A single source of information ensures that users do not encounter problems with redundant and out-of-date data. GeoMedia’s data server technology supports open standards, providing GIS interoperability through direct access to all major geospatial/CAD data formats and to industry-standard spatial and relational databases.

PureData has extensive experience in the field of road network condition assessment and optimisation. Its high-definition digital video technology makes it possible to rapidly and inexpensively collect crystal-clear imagery of large asset networks and enables cost-effective office-based condition analysis of those networks for increased efficiency and quality.

As the latest organisation to join Intergraph’s Registered Solutions Provider (RSP) program in Australia, PureData distributes the suite of GeoMedia solutions within Australia and also develops GeoMedia-based solutions. This new RSP expands Intergraph’s reach within the Australian market, particularly with local governments and utilities that have assets to be inspected over a large area. The integration between PureData’s purePlayer and Intergraph’s GeoMedia will facilitate the full geo-referencing of video captured by PureData, enabling Intergraph to deliver innovative and functional geospatial solutions to service the Australian marketplace.

Rishi Viner, Director at PureData, said, “PureData is pleased to be Intergraph’s newest RSP in Australia and deliver GeoMedia solutions to our customers. The integration of purePlayer and GeoMedia provides users with a seamless interface and integrated environment for cost-effective analysis of geospatial data.”

“The technology partnership with PureData expands GeoMedia’s video capabilities and strengthens the overall Intergraph solution,” said Kevin Stanley, Vice President, Security, Government & Infrastructure, Asia Pacific, Intergraph. “This enables our Australian customers, particularly local governments and utilities, to efficiently manage and understand their investments in geospatial assets to make accurate and timely business decisions.”
