Upsite Technologies becomes the first data center sealing company granted Endorser status by the European Code of Conduct on Data Centers.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM, June 1, 2010— The European Commission Institute for Energy has recognized Upsite Technologies’ contributions to increasing the energy efficiency of data centers and awarded Upsite with the title of Endorser of their Code of Conduct. Upsite is the first data center sealing company to receive this designation, bringing recognition to it’s suite of Lok sealing products and services for their significant impact on the energy efficiency of data centers worldwide.

The European Code of Conduct was created in response to increasing energy consumption in data centers and the need to reduce the related environmental, economic and energy supply security impacts. The aim is to inform and stimulate data center operators and owners to reduce energy consumption in a cost-effective manner without hampering the mission critical function of data centers. The Code of Conduct aims to achieve this by improving understanding of energy demand within the data center, raising awareness, and recommending energy efficient best practice and targets.

Endorser status is awarded to companies who have demonstrated a commitment to uphold the general principles and best practices set forth by the Code of Conduct as well as develop products, solutions and programs that significantly contribute to improving energy efficiency in data centers.

Lynley O’Donnell, COO of Upsite Technologies, says “We are honored to be recognized by the European Commission Institute for Energy with Endorser status of the Code of Conduct. Upsite Technologies is committed to upholding the code and continuing to increase visibility of the importance of selecting energy efficient products and services in data centers across the world.”
