Staging Connections showcases elite AV for world’s largest gas conference

Staging Connections delivered end-to-end audio visual services for the world’s largest liquefied national gas conference, LNG18, for 6,000 delegates, over four days at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12 – 15 April 2016.
Debuted at the conference was Staging Connections’ latest offering, Inteli-Touch, an interactive touch screen presentation software, touted as the next generation of PowerPoint and Keynote.

Paul Douglass, Event Manager at Exhibition and Trade Fairs who built the exhibition as part of LNG18 and used Inteli-Touch to book stands for the next gas exhibition, commented on the seamless experience it provided.

“It was really beneficial to be able to show prospective exhibitors display floor plans for the next LNG conference, the 27th World Gas Conference in Washington, on the Inteli-Touch.

“The interactive technology enabled visitors to filter floor plans based on their needs, for example stand size, and view the available positions in detail. They could then either send an enquiry, or book directly with our team on the stand. We loved the interactivity of the system and exhibitors were very impressed by the state of the art touch screen,” said Mr Douglas.

Another hero feature, a contemporary, industrial-styled hexagonal shaped stage set, spanned the entire length of the main theatre stage, standing 7.5m high by 20m wide. Images of Australia’s landscape and current LNG projects were projected on the hexagonal shapes, using 18K Christies, Watchout software and Spyder controls. All on screen content, opening and closing ceremony videos and sponsor loops were designed by Staging Connections’ in house multimedia team.

Audio, vision, set design, staging, lighting and multimedia content for all events over the 4 days of the conference were delivered by the Staging Connections team, including the main Opening and Closing Plenary Sessions, daily plenary sessions in accompanying breakout rooms, plus several ancillary keynote events.

VIP attendees included Prime Minister The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull MP, Foreign Minister The Hon. Julie Bishop MP, multiple other heads of state and LNG industry professionals from across the globe including CEOs from Chevron, Shell and Woodside.
