Digi Launches Fixed Price Wireless Design Services by Spectrum Design
MINNETONKA, Minn., May 20 /PRNewswire-Asia/ — Digi International (Nasdaq: DGII) today announced the enhancement of its wireless design services by Spectrum Design with fixed price offerings. Spectrum Design is a Digi subsidiary that offers complete hardware and software wireless design services, including wireless strategy consulting and product customization for specific customer needs. This enables OEMs to quickly and easily add wireless capabilities to new and existing products. Spectrum Design services include a unique wireless strategy review that helps customers develop an overall approach for adding wireless features to their products, and hardware design reviews by engineers experienced in designing with Digi embedded technologies. Spectrum Design services also include custom device driver development, customized antenna design and Python application development for Drop-in Networking products. Spectrum Design can also develop custom interfaces for Digi’s unique Flexible Interface Modules (FIMs) available on the Digi Connect ME(R) 9210, ConnectCore(TM) 9P 9215 and ConnectCore(TM) Wi-9P 9215 modules; and NS9210 and NS9215 NET+ARM microprocessors.
Spectrum Design services can also be used as part of Digi’s new iDigi wireless M2M solution bundles. At the heart of iDigi is the iDigi platform, a Platform as a Service (PaaS) that quickly and easily connects remote assets to a customer’s application. iDigi Spectrum Design services include connecting devices to the iDigi platform, Python prototyping services and adding wireless connectivity to devices.
