Service2Media releases version 4.4 of their M2Active mobile app development platform

Service2Media releases version 4.4 of their application life cycle platform for mobile applications M2Active. This version release incorporates several significant new features and improvements, resulting in extra functionality, improved integration in the enterprise environment and increase of productivity for the developer. M2Active 4.4 is available from today for Service2Media’s customers. A free two months trial period is available for Service2Media’s omni channel push services for everybody who wants to take a test drive.

This version of the platform introduces a brand new layout management system, including auto-placement and grid lines. This new layout manager increases the efficiency and speed of creating responsive user interfaces and app layouts, suitable for multiple resolutions and screen sizes. Second, the webview is completely revised; it now includes full bi-directional bridging between Lua and Javascript, providing a tight connection between Lua Scripts and the HTML5 environment, making the choice of programming language much more flexible.

New in the M2Active platform is support for Android 4.4 Kitkat and the introduction of several new classes for scrolling and refreshing. Furthermore, various performance optimisations are introduced in this new version.
