TEKNEK TO SHOW WORLD’S MOST ADVANCED CONTACT CLEANING SOLUTIONS AT JPCA

Tokyo, 1 June 2011: Teknek, the global leader in contact cleaning equipment, will be showcasing its full portfolio of advanced contact cleaning solutions for the electronics sector at JPCA 2011.

Making its debut at the show is the Ultracleen range which offers the optimal solution to the problem of cleaning thin film which is being increasingly used in a number of applications such as flat panel displays, touch panels, automotive equipment and PV panels.  In all these sectors there is a zero tolerance policy to defects and the presence of foreign particles in the production process leads to high reject rates.  The Ultracleen system has been designed to offer the best possible cleaning performance at the fastest production rates yet leaves the film totally undamaged by the cleaning process.

Ultracleen builds on the success of Teknek’s patented Nanocleen solution which features advanced contamination and static control capabilities for the electronics production environment.  To complement this Teknek has introduced the Nanocleen Plus range of silicone-free, static dissipating adhesive rolls to provide the ultimate cleaning solution.  Nanocleen offers a number of benefits over conventional contact cleaning systems including:

  • The unique polymer roller can remove much smaller particles – down to 25nm in size. This is important as electronic circuits become ever finer and components smaller making the impact of contamination that much greater.
  • Nanocleen’s high performance roller can remove 25-50% more particles than other contact cleaners.
  • The roller dissipates static as well as removing contamination. Static is reduced by a factor of 10 compared to traditional contact cleaners. Sensitive electronic components are susceptible to static and can be damaged if static is present in the production process.
  • The roller and adhesive roll are 100% silicone free. Traditional rollers and adhesive rolls contain silicones which can potentially contaminate the production line.
  • The Nanocleen system can be fitted to old and new versions of the Teknek Clean Machine as well as other makes of contact cleaning equipment (using an optional upgrade kit) so investment in additional hardware is not necessary.

Ruaridh Nicolson, Teknek’s sales and marketing manager said: “Visitors to our booth at JPCA will be able to experience the ultimate line up of advanced contact cleaning equipment.  Our market-leading range of solutions can offer superior cleaning for a wide variety of materials from PCBs to ultra-thin films.”

He added: “The key is our success is our unique cleaning core which is the result of many years research and development to create an elastomer roller whose chemical composition provides optimal cleaning power.  This has generated substantial cost savings, waste reduction and yield improvements for our customers over the past 25 years.”
