eading International Bank and Global Brokerage Signs Up for MDSL’s Managed Telecom Expense Manageme
May 30 2012 – A leading international bank and global financial brokerage has announced it is moving its existing Telecom Expense Management solution under the control of MDSL’s Managed Service Division.
The firm has been an MDSL customer since 2008 for both MDSL’s Telecom Expense and its Market Data Management solutions, delivered as “Software as a Service” (Saas) via the Cloud. The motivation to move to a Managed Service model was driven largely by the desire to take advantage of MDSL’s new Invoice Processing module, which automates the process of invoice entry, checking and reconciliation and which offers significant additional efficiencies and savings.
The project commenced with a Telecom Audit, to identify further areas for efficiencies and cost-reduction. The programme of transitioning from Saas to Managed Services will be driven from the UK office and will cover all regions globally, in a two-phase approach. Phase One will focus on all vendors currently included within the existing MDSL Smart TEM solution; Phase Two will roll out across all telecom vendors with whom the business deals. The programme is expected to complete in the next two months, with full transition to Managed Services going ‘live’ at the end of July 2012.
MDSL Professional Services Manager, Mark Bellingham, commented: “We’re extremely pleased to welcome another major client for our Managed Services offering – which is becoming something of a trend on both sides of the Atlantic. There are a number of areas where companies can make greater savings and see additional benefits through calling on MDSL’s expertise and experience as an external partner, and this is further proof of how both new and existing clients can use us to good effect to help boost their competitiveness in what is becoming an increasing difficult trading environment”.
