Discussions on the value of connectivity, building the hyperdense 5G HetNet and service creation for new technologies are set to be in full swing at SCWS World this May in London
London, UK. 3 May 2017 – The agenda for the annual SCWS World, organised by Avren Events, has been updated with a string of new influential representatives, including from Google, Vodafone, Ocubis and Ericsson, which has recently joined as joint diamond sponsor alongside Huawei. Gathering the latest innovative wireless connectivity use cases and solutions, leading operators, vendors and enterprises will discuss the business issues and priorities in a series of panels, seminars and keynote presentations. SCWS World is set to be the essential meeting place for the wireless connectivity community concerned with advances in small cells, Wi-Fi, DAS, backhaul and MEC, and will be held at the InterContinental O2 Hotel from 22 – 25 May 2017.
The first day of the exhibition on 23 May will focus on building the network of the future and the hyperdense 5G HetNet, with exclusive presentations from Vodafone Netherlands, Softbank, SK Telecom, KPN and Google. Discussions will also include insight and perspectives from the enterprise community, including Stuart Wilson, Director of Operations, UK at WiredScore, the digital connectivity rating scheme for commercial real estate.
“Buildings being designed today will, in the future, have to deliver technology we haven’t even dreamt of yet,” said Stuart, speaking ahead of the event. Offering essential insight into the real estate approach to connectivity, he will discuss tenants and their increasing demands on technology, the importance of designing the right infrastructure for future needs and key changes in future technology.
Matthias Sauder from Vodafone Netherlands is the latest addition to day one’s agenda, where he will speak on SignaalPlus Enterprise Connect – Vodafone’s Value Proposition. This session will focus on Vodafone Netherlands’ most recent communications solution for enterprise customers, using small cells from NEC. With 23 years of experience within Vodafone, Matthias has been responsible for the introduction of 4G by Vodafone Germany, the transformation of the Vodafone Netherlands network and delivering the Spring program at Vodafone Netherlands.
As well as exploring the latest deployments and trials, the agenda will also look at the needs of enterprises and end users who are developing their own connectivity infrastructures in collaboration with several partners.
Jon Ola Bergaplass, CTO at Swedish Football League, will be speaking on 24 May about the priorities, considerations and opportunities that such enterprises face when designing their connectivity solution. Commenting before SCWS World, Jon said: “At SCWS World, I’m eager to hear about other experiences within the industry, both on the revenue side and on the channel of connectivity. The smart phone hasn’t been in the market for ten years yet, and it has turned the world upside down, making it possible for us to have any kind of service. Connectivity is about getting from A to B and it’s what keeps stadiums going. I will be focussing my discussions on the network and 5G, as well as other technological trends.”
As well as the main conference, SCWS World opens its doors on 22 May for a day of detailed seminars led by Huawei. Zinwave, Node-H, ip.Access and Blu Wireless will also host topical seminars, incorporating discussion with leading industry bodies such as the GSMA.
“Thanks to the whole team at Avren Events, we are looking forward to the most comprehensive agenda the show has ever seen,” said David Sackheim, Marketing Manager at Avren Events. “We are pleased to welcome Ericsson who will be joining Huawei as a Diamond sponsor, and we are expecting more announcements to emerge as the show draws closer.”
SCWS World will be co-hosted with LPWA World for 2017, and features an exclusive Stadium IoT & Connectivity Focus Day on 25 May. To register for SCWS World, please click here.
