The Ministry of the Interior of Colombia has Implemented their Process for Religious Affairs with AuraPortal iBPMS
April 21, 2015 – AURA (www.auraportal.com), a global provider of AuraPortal. Business Process Management (BPM) software, has announced that in March, the Ministry of the Interior of Colombia set up the online service for citizens to process religious affairs on the AuraPortal iBPMS platform, which was positioned at the top of the visionaries in Gartner’s new “Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Business Process Management Suites 2015″.
The platform meets the needs of legal representatives from over 5000 religious entities, which according to the figures estimated by the Interior’s Public Information Bureau, agglomerate over 10 million parishioners.
The solution was successfully implemented by AuraPortal’s partners M&Q and BPM-LAT in just three months and thanks to the zero code structure, i.e. the fact that no programming whatsoever is needed to create and modify process models, the adaptations for continuous improvement are equally as quick.
Both the Ministry and citizens are pleased with the results. Now, thanks to the automation of these processes, requested Legal entity recognition certificates are issued within a few minutes. The certificates are sent via e-mail free of charge. This constitutes an important alignment with the Ministry’s mission of transparency, effectiveness and efficiency, hereby providing the citizens optimal services.
Furthermore, with this implementation, the Ministry hopes to stamp down on corruption by offering the citizens agility, clarity, uniqueness, economy and readily available information.
Last year, the Ministry also implemented AuraPortal iBPMS technological platform in their URIEL (Immediate Reception Unit for Electoral Transparency) process for monitoring and managing electoral complaints and denunciations. The URIEL project has been nominated for the United Nations Public Service Award.
