LifeLogger’s Kickstarter brings wearable recording devices to a new level
May 13, 2014 / (http://www.myprgenie.com) — LifeLogger has announced the release of their new handsfree recording device, featuring GPS, WiFi/Bluetooth connection, and the ability to lifestream video to any desktop, tablet, or smartphone.
Combining a lightweight recording headpiece with sophisticated cloud-based video management and processing software, the LifeLogger lets you not only capture the meaningful moments in your life, but also easily store them in a cloud database, which is searchable by date, geo location, and even by facial or voice recognition.
“What differentiates LifeLogger’s system from that of others is the cloud-side processing. There probably aren’t enough hours in our lives to review each and every full day’s worth of logged video and photos, so the startup turns to automated systems to help pick out the important parts of each segment” – SlashGear
Born out of a seasoned team of software and hardware engineers, LifeLogger brings together the best of a lightweight handsfree video recording device with the powerful video processing features of a custom cloud-based management tool. LifeLogger cloud incorporates video stabilization, face detection, OCR, voice recognition, and GPS positing into the video recording experience, allowing users to quickly find moments they care about in their life.
“Our in-house hardware developers who have spent over a year developing and testing many variations of components to deliver the best product possible.
From the beginning, we knew we wanted to create not just the next video portal, but to build a completely new experience and change the way we relive our video memories.” – LifeLogger Team.
Since launching the company in 2012, the team has created several iterations of the product, leading up to a Kickstarter campaign set to launch on May 13, 2014. The campaign will help with tooling, PCB development, extensive testing, firmware development, as well as finance the initial production batch for LifeLogger.
The Kickstarter campaign will offer backers a variety of rewards including the LifeLogger recording device, cloud-based video management software, a battery bank, six months of free 100GB cloud storage and video processing, and finally the chance to join the team for CES 2015 in Las Vegas.
