SMBs Losing Business Because They’re Not Mobile-Optimized

According to a study by Hibu, a local directory and advertising provider, 45 percent of a sample of US & UK small and medium-sized businesses don’t have a website at all and only six percent of respondents with websites said they are optimized for mobile devices. Also according to the report, US SMBs believe they are missing approximately $60,000/year by not having a mobile website.

Ken Wisnefski, Founder & CEO of WebiMax, a leading Internet marketing agency, believes that number might be higher than small and medium-sized business owners realize. With mobile usage continuously on the rise and purchases made through mobile devices increasing exponentially, companies are falling behind and losing customers if they are not updating their websites accordingly.

In response to the growing demand of consumers for mobile-friendly websites, WebiMax recently built and lunched a subsidiary company, BuildItForMobile.com. WebiMax’s latest venture is a resource for businesses that are looking for mobile web design solutions including app development, responsive design, conversion optimization, and more.

According to Wisnefski:

  • Mobile is the fastest growing technology ever, and providing users with a good experience on websites and apps is crucial to a business’s success
  • Purchases made on mobile devices are growing rapidly, it’s important to give users the ability to browse, book, and buy from anywhere
  • Mobile marketing is the future of the Web. Responsive design & development is key for enhancing user experience, ranking better in search engines, and increasing conversions and sales
