Architecture Technology Corp (ATC) Honored with 2012 Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility

Eden Praire, MN — Nov 02, 2012 / (http://www.myprgenie.com) — Architecture Technology Corp (ATC) has been notified that it is a recipient of the 2012 Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility.

The Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility recognize employers of all types and sizes that are using workplace flexibility as a tool to enhance business and employee success. The Awards are offered to employers within the When Work Works partner communities, as well as to those outside of these locations as “other” applicants.

The Awards are unique for their rigorous criteria. To win, applicants must rank among the top 20% of U.S. employers in terms of their programs and practices for creating effective and flexible workplaces, based on nationally representative data from Families and Work Institute. Two thirds of the overall score is derived from a confidential employee survey, ensuring that these programs and practices are having a real impact where the “rubber meets the road,” on the employee experience.

In the Book – Bold Ideas – ATC was mentioned for their workplace environment where workers set their own hours. According to Bold Ideas -” The company provides a rare environment where employees set their own hours. No need to clock in or out. No need to get clearance from a supervisor. The people first culture is accentuated by the company’s program, regarding random acts of kindness.”

About the Sloan Awards
The Sloan Awards are part of When Work Works, a research-based initiative to highlight how effective and flexible workplaces can yield positive business results and help employees succeed at work and at home. When Work Works is a joint partnership between Families and Work Institute and The Society for Human Resource Management.

ATC’s Growing Family of Products  and Services for Security and Safety

ATC is known for a number of cutting edge products including its Cyber Marshal forensics products, such as P2P Marshal, Live Marshal, Mac Marshal and Router Marshal. These products are currently in use by U.S. law enforcement in all 50 states to investigate cyber crimes. Without automated tools, a forensic investigator’s job to find evidence of illegal distribution of contraband and other crimes is manually-intensive and time-consuming. These forensic tools greatly help investigators reduce the time required for the analysis process.

ATC has also been in the forefront  for The Final Approach Runway Occupancy Signal (FAROS) concept. FAROS  addresses the need to reduce the potentially serious consequences of runway incursions involving an aircraft on approach while another aircraft or vehicle is on the same runway.

ATC’s R&D services  division also punches out new innovative products like USB Steward – a unique hardware/software firewall that protects computers from malicious USB devices.
