Biamp Systems Release Vocia 1.4.1

September 4, 2012 – Beaverton, Oregon — Biamp® Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, today introduces Vocia 1.4.1. Built to meet the exacting specifications and requirements demanded of public address and voice evacuation systems, Vocia provides a future-proof, networked solution for integrators, system managers and endusers.

Vocia 1.4.1 adds to Vocia’s existing functionality and provides new options for ease-of-use and system flexibility. These features include:

  • The EN 54-16 certified small amplifiers are now available with the ability to turn ground fault detection on or off within the software
  • The VA-8600/VA-8600c amplifiers now have increased flexibility with the delay time limits, expanding from 0.5 seconds (500ms) maximum per channel to 2.7 seconds (2700ms)

“Biamp is committed to continued product innovation,” said Graeme Harrison, Executive Vice President of Biamp Systems. “The expanded functionality of Vocia 1.4.1 meets the needs of integrators, system managers and endusers with even more system flexibility.”

The decentralized architecture of Vocia distributes processing and page routing across the network — eliminating the potential for a single point of system failure. Vocia’s proven dependability spans from the simplest overhead paging applications to the most advanced paging and voice evacuation systems across multiple zones and buildings.
