MDSL unveils the future of Telecom Expense Management on US Road Show

January 11 2011 – London, New York, Paris, Tokyo, Gothenburg and Hong Kong – MDSL, the leading provider of international Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and Market Data Expense Management (MDEM) solutions, today announced MDSL Smart TEM, the latest version of its market-leading TEM solution.

MDSL Smart TEM will be revealed to the public for the first time on February 13 at the annual AOTMP TEM Conference, before forming the focal point of a US road show touring New York, Houston and Chicago.

Philippe Lignac, MDSL TEM Sales Director, commented: “This marks a major step forward for the telecom expense management industry. We’ve spent a number of months working with our customers to understand what they see as the shortcomings of current solutions on the market, and MDSL Smart TEM is designed both to address those issues and to meet their needs now and into the future. We believe the new solution is nothing short of game-changing for the TEM industry”.

At the heart of MDSL Smart TEM’s approach are six core principles:
1. Make it easier to find the right information, first time
2. Save time by automating repetitive tasks
3. Streamline the working day by matching the user interface to the individual’s role
4. Let the system analyze spend and automatically alert the user to any exceptions
5. Improve decision-making with powerful, easy and reliable reporting
6. Empower the user to make their own reporting and change requests

Furthermore, MDSL Smart TEM adds a whole new level of functionality by, for the first time, integrating Mobile Device Management (MDM) capability with the core TEM function, allowing users easily and securely to control and manage all their wireless devices and applications from within a single application and TEM database.

Ben Mendoza, MDSL CEO, said: “This is a new way of delivering telecom expense management. Smart TEM transforms the way TEM is implemented within the enterprise: first, by making information much easier to access and action and, second, by making it tightly integrated and conformant with the customer’s existing internal IT systems and practices. MDSL Smart TEM becomes another key component of an IT shared services environment”.

He continued: “This is good news for both our users and our channel partners. It dramatically simplifies the process of implementing a TEM solution within the organization, and puts TEM at the very centre of the customer’s shared service provision”.

Timothy C. Colwell, SVP of Global Business Analytics, AOTMP, commented: “Half of all enterprises cite improving telecom service and asset visibility as their top international TEM objective, and 41% cite reducing international telecom cost as their main priority. The six core principles at the heart of MDSL’s approach with SmartTEM are well aligned to supporting enterprises in meeting these goals”.

MDSL Smart TEM will be on show for the first time at the annual AOTMP TEM Conference in Orlando, February 13-16. Thereafter, it goes on tour at the following locations:

• Tue Feb 21, 8.30am-1pm: New York Marriott Marquis – 1535 Broadway, New York, NY 10036
• Wed Feb 22, 8.30am-1pm: Houston Marriott – West Loop (by Galleria), 1750 West Loop South,
Houston, TX 77027
• Thu Feb 23, 8.30am-1pm: Chicago Marriott – 540 N Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611
