Fujitsu selects Miradore to increase remote management efficiency of Patja operations
Munich, Germany and Helsinki, Finland, 24 November 2010 – Fujitsu Services Oy, the leading ICT service and hardware supplier in Finland, has selected Miradore’s management solution for its Patja operations model. With Miradore, Fujitsu dramatically improves the efficiency of the workstation management of its service clients. The announcement was made at Fujitsu’s Visit event in Munich, Germany.
“The advanced functionalities of Miradore’s solution enable agile and cost effective asset and license management in multiple IT environments”, says CEO Yrjänä Ahto of Fujitsu Finland. “With Miradore’s automated processes and remote management capabilities, we are able to increase the efficiency of our service production as well as further enhance the quality of service.”
Miradore’s cloud-based management solution integrates all end device management functions through the IT lifecycle. It consists of integrated asset management, configuration management and lifecycle management tools. The solution will be integrated in Fujitsu’s Patja service offering, which currently covers about 150,000 workstations in Finland.
The standardization of the end device and license management platform automates processes and eliminates a large share of manual work. This brings operational efficiencies and lowers costs. Service quality also increases, as for example a new workstation can be deployed remotely over the network utilizing zero touch functionalities.
“It is not uncommon that end devices and licenses are managed in isolated databases separate from the rest of the IT environment. With Miradore, asset management becomes a part of the operational system, and changes to the database are automatically implemented”, says Miradore CEO Kristian Järnefelt. “Targeted specifically for service providers such as Fujitsu, our solution easily scales to large IT environments and facilitates the unified management of multiple environments.”
Fujitsu’s implementation of Miradore’s end device and license management solution is a continuation of a Nordic-wide partnership agreement between the companies, signed in February 2010.
“The cooperation with an innovative market leader of managed desktop services is a significant milestone for us. This is an important step for our international expansion plans,” comments Järnefelt.
