FastBooking integrates new itinerary building function into reservation engine
Paris—November 5, 2010—FastBooking, one of the world’s leading online solutions providers for the hospitality industry, announces the integration of an interactive hotel reservation and route planner with its high performance FastBooking Engine.
“The Itinerary Module assists travellers with the selection of hotels along their journey’s route. It’s a valuable, time saving tool that helps them organize their trip with real-time room availability and pricing. Using this tool, travellers can set and change their itinerary; compare hotel locations, features and prices; and then book the hotel that best suits them–all in one go,” says Paul Ponçon, FastBooking Vice President, Sales EMEA.
The traveler can define their trip by ‘steps’ based on the number of days they wish to travel or the miles they wish to cover in each segment. Based on planned departure date, length of journey and room occupancy, the system will check hotel availability and display a real-time quote. For each segment of their journey, including departure and arrival locations, the system will make a hotel suggestion. If more than one property is available the traveler can expand the display to browse the full offer for that segment of the voyage. The built-in booking interface pop-in makes it easy to reserve every hotel along their route. The Itinerary module incorporates Google Map functionalities with on-route drag modification capability. Route visualization is clear with well-defined departure/arrival points. Hotels are identified with a pin which, when clicked, reveals the first level of information about the hotel.
“It’s a great promotional tool for the hotel and a terrific planning tool for the client.” explains Paul Ponçon.
The FastBooking Itinerary Module will be demonstrated on the FastBooking stand (TT109) during WTM, November 8-12, 2010 at ExCel London.
