Tekmos Communications extends Balun Panel range

HITCHIN, UK – 13 May 2010: Tekmos Communications today announced the release of the latest addition to their range of balun panels that provide convenient access to all connections on the front panel. The company’s new 48 port Front Mount Balun Panel range is the result of close co-operation with network equipment manufacturers.

The Front Mount Balun Panels reduce installation times and simplify maintenance. Presenting the coax and RJ45 connectors on the front of the 1U high rack mountable panel eliminates the need to gain access to the rear of equipment racks. This reduces the risk of disturbing existing wiring and interfering with current connections. The range is ideally suited for use in Data Centres, alongside Switching Nodes and in Telecomm Rooms.

48 Port Front Mount Balun Panel

Equipped with twenty-four E1 class links, the 1U high 19″ rack mount panels convert 48 coax connections (75 ohm) into 24 RJ45 twisted pair (120 ohm) connections. The panels are ITU-T G703 compliant and support data rates up to 8.192 Mbps.

The new 48 port Front Mount Balun Panels are available now with 1.0/2.3 or SMB coax connectors.
