Ovum expands its operations to Taiwan

Melbourne, 13th October 2009. Ovum, the global analyst and consulting firm, has opened an office in Taiwan.

The office is led by Cathy Tien, Country Manager for Taiwan. The team in Taiwan is led by CW Cheung, Consulting Director of Asia-Pacific.

CW has in-depth knowledge and experience in the telecommunications business, policy and regulatory space in Asia-Pacific. He has worked with leading telecom operators, service providers, vendors, regulators and management consultancies in the Region for more than 27 years.

CW Cheung said, “Taiwan is distinguished by high fixed and mobile penetration. Its telecoms infrastructure development in terms of next generation fixed broadband (e.g. FTTx adoption) and wireless broadband, such as WiMAX adoption and planned HSPA/LTE trials, places it amongst the top-tiered countries in the Region”
