HUBER+SUHNER publishes new catalogue for wireless infrastructure and Small Cell Applications

Herisau, Switzerland. 22 June 2016. Global connectivity solutions provider, HUBER+SUHNER, has published a new catalogue for wireless infrastructure for Small Cell applications, including both fiber optic and radio frequency (RF) products.

The catalogue was developed to showcase a product portfolio that specifically addresses the needs of indoor and outdoor Small Cell deployments, comprising distributed antenna systems (DAS) as well as an entire family of robust and easy-to-install fiber optic cable systems, supporting the build-up of daisy chains in various environments such as football stadiums, urban scenarios, enterprise buildings and university campuses.

“Our world thrives on information and needs the best possible connectivity solutions to make it work,” said Aleksander Lazic, Product Manager at HUBER+SUHNER. “Our goal is to develop cost-effective fiber optic and RF solutions to connect people around the clock and around the globe. Our newly developed fiber optic solutions allow operators and network providers a fast, easy and modular installation of their wireless infrastructure.”

Among the fiber optic products included in the catalogue are the brand new MASTERLINE Ultimate Small Cell (MLU SC) and the Optibox 6 – a fiber optic distribution box for indoor solutions. The MLU SC is a compact, modular, pre-connectorized, rugged, plug and play fiber optic installation system for installing Small Cells in multiple scenarios. It is designed to support stand-alone installs of 1-4 Radios per node or as a daisy chainable solution of 1-3 radios per node or demarcation point.

“MLU SC is a true vendor agnostic, multi-carrier Small Cell installation solution,” said Lazic. “Although the MLU SC was originally designed and developed solely for the Small Cell market, we are now seeing that it has various uses in other markets as well, including CCTV, Wind power, Oil and FTTH.”

HUBER+SUHNER’s broad knowledge in different technologies make it the leading provider of interconnectivity solutions and innovative services in the field of indoor and outdoor Small Cells and DAS. The RF portfolio includes halogen free cables as well as connectors, adaptors, couplers and a dedicated portfolio of antennas.

“As the worldwide leader for remote radio installation solutions, HUBER+SUHNER has used its extensive expertise and tried and tested technology to specifically address the needs of Small Cell deployments,” said Lazic. “Our goal is to keep it simple and to bring connectivity to the site.”

Also featured in the catalogue is the recently launched IANOS® – a new, class-leading, future-proofed fiber management system. All cables needed for MLU SC, IANOS® and the Optibox, including LC patch cord/pigtails and Optipack, can also be found in the catalogue as well as wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) solutions for where fiber exhaustion or limited fiber backhaul exists.
