Vuzix Live Streaming Demonstration Interfacing to RICOH THETA S to Be Showcased at CES 2016

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Dec. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Vuzix® Corporation (NASDAQ: VUZI), (“Vuzix” or, the “Company”), a leading supplier of video eyewear and smart glasses products in the consumer, enterprise and entertainment markets, is pleased to announce that the company will showcase its iWear Video Headphones at the CES 2016 Show, to be held in Las Vegas from January 6-9, 2016.

Visitors to the Vuzix stand will have the opportunity to review all of the Company’s latest and new wearable technology, including the iWear Video Headphones, enabled with Vuzix’ partner AsukaLab’s AsukaVision system for iWear Video Headphones. This innovative system is able to display the 360 degree images and videos taken by the new RICOH THETA S and allow users to look around inside them as if they were there, which is the first such app of its kind (to see live streaming on AsukaVision with iWear, please click here).  The iWear and RICOH THETA S will be shown at CES alongside the Vuzix iWear Wireless. Both the iWear Wireless and the RICOH THETA S won CES 2016 Best of Innovations awards. Vuzix’ iWear Wireless won in the Gaming and Virtual Reality category.  The RICOH THETA S won in the Digital Imaging category.

The 360 degree images and videos are being provided for CES 2016 courtesy of RICOH and their RICOH THETA S 360 degree camera. The multi-platform virtual reality (VR) compatible Vuzix iWear Video Headphones are the ideal personal portable video entertainment and gaming system and winner of four CES 2015 awards.
