September 2015, Mumbai: The 10th edition of this rapidly growing food and beverage event will take place in the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India from Monday, October 19 – Wednesday, October 21. This event is the perfect place to learn about the various aspects of the Indian food industry and make lasting business connections.
Fi India offers a series of technical seminars on Day 1 that will be conducted by AFSTI, the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India). AFSTI is one of the largest professional and educational organisations, with around 2,300 members from across the globe. Their sessions will cover “Compliance for the ingredients industry” and will discuss general compliances, analytical compliances and FSMS compliances.
Also, in addition to the high-level ingredient suppliers showcasing their products, Fi India will once again host the previously successful Expo FoodTec Pavilion. Responding to the growing need for solutions in processing, packaging, equipment and services, Fi India will once again include this popular pavilion giving attendees the ability to source solutions for a more complete range of needs.
For the second year, Fi India & Hi introduces a Free Bakery Workshop. The workshop will take place on the 19-20 October in Hall no. 6. The workshop will be conducted by Assocom Institute of Bakery Technology & Management (AIBTM), a comprehensive teaching, training and research centre specifically for baking technology and allied disciplines. The workshop will include both seminars and demonstrations. Some of the topics covered include; nutrient dense bakery products, oat based cookies and gluten free cookies, gluten free challenges and egg replacements in baked goods.
This year there will also be a Bakery Competition called “The healthy cookie baking competition”. This will be open to anyone who works or has worked professionally as a baker or in the baking, cake, pastry or chocolate industry. Registrations for this competition are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
On top of all these great features that are on offer at Fi India this year, you can source new ingredients from the 200 great national and international suppliers exhibiting at the show, including ADM, Roquette, Ingredion, Givaudan and Calpro.
