HomeGrid Forum and Allion Labs to Hold Pre-Certification G.hn Home Networking Plugfest

HomeGrid Forum has announced that it will be holding a plugfest and information session day in Taipei, Taiwan on May 14, 2015. The event, to be held at Allion Labs, HomeGrid’s Accredited Test House (ATH), will give members an opportunity to learn more about the organisation’s certification process and the tools used for the testing. Members will also be able to perform some preliminary testing on their G.hn devices against reference devices and previously certified products.

The plugfest will also give participants a chance to meet key members of the HGF certification process: the chair of the Compliance and Interoperability Work Group – Abdul Khan, the Marketing Work Group chair – Livia Rosu, and HomeGrid’s new president – Donna Yasay, who will be making her first trip to Asia on behalf of HomeGrid.

“Certification has always been an important cornerstone of our strategy and a good indicator of our progress. Interest from members and their partners has been growing rapidly,” said Donna. “Allion Labs has received many requests for certification from system vendors and we expect to be making further certification announcements in the next few weeks. The plugfest will encourage and underpin our certification program and I am delighted that we are able to offer this opportunity to our members. I am looking forward to meeting so many of the key players in HomeGrid Forum’s development. It will also give me a chance to get to know the Asian market first-hand, as this is one of our key geographies and is making great strides in deploying G.hn for in-home networks.”

HomeGrid Forum will be back in Taipei in June for Computex, June 02-06, 2015, where the organization will show its wares at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition on Booth  G0528 in Hall 3 and hold a press conference on June 3rd at Conference Room #2, Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition.
