Vemotion’s Alzomar partnership is full of Middle Eastern promise
Following its inaugural attendance at Milipol Qatar, the International State Security Exhibition in Qatar last month, UK based Vemotion has today announced an initial partnership with Qatar based security specialists Alzomar, to distribute Vemotion products to emerging clients in the Qatar region.
Tasked with being the sole distributor for Vemotion in Qatar, the partnership will see a swift introduction of Vemotion solutions to market, where Alzomar’s local knowledge and over a decade in the business will prove invaluable. Alzomar will benefit from delivering to its clients the very latest in British wireless transmission solutions in a deal that promises much for both parties.
“This partnership is big news for Vemotion and our attendance at Milipol allowed us to seal the deal,” said Stewart McCone, CEO of Vemotion. “Alzomar has succeeded through introducing the latest technology to its clients, so it was a natural choice for us to work together. We can give Alzomar access to our next generation wireless solutions; keeping them one step ahead and they give us a quick route to an expanding market now rather than wait for 2015. It’s very exciting and we are looking forward to developing the partnership in the months and years ahead.”
Based in Doha, Qatar, Alzomar is a specialist in the fields of forensics, security and identity, offering the most advanced, reliable and trusted solutions to many government and private organisations. The firm provides high-value integrated solutions for Forensic Laboratories, Law Enforcement Agencies, Border Security, Government Departments, Airlines, Gas & Oil and the Banking sector, where the highest levels of security is a constant demand.
“We are pleased to be able to welcome Vemotion as a partner,” said Alzomar’s CEO, Ahmad Ghiassi. “We were very impressed with their presentation at Milipol and there is no doubt many of our clients will see the benefits that a system like Vemotion can offer. Security at borders and sensitive locations is an issue and Alzomar has delivered many notable projects already and with Vemotion I’m confident we will deliver more.”
Qatar has a big security market and as the world’s richest country (per capita) has the means to pay for the best. Qatar is used to handling big projects, but hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022 is as big as they come and security will be paramount, providing a unique challenge for local security.
Vemotion is therefore entering the market at a critical and opportune stage, being able to boast a great deal of experience in helping security services in the UK and overseas successfully police big events like the Commonwealth Games and the Tour de France to name two. “It’s easy to underestimate the Middle East, so from a Vemotion perspective, having a local partner makes a lot of sense,” added Stewart. “Having gone to Qatar myself, it is clear there is massive expansion in many sectors and lots of opportunity. The security market alone is estimated to be worth over 16 billion euros and there is so much Vemotion can help them with.”
Vemotion’s move into the Middle East sub-region presents new opportunities to partner with other Middle-Eastern organisations like Alzomar, to look after complementary territories. News of this Middle East initiative is just the latest in a series of announcements from Vemotion in recent weeks, with UK success allowing the firm to branch out as a global market player. Innovative wireless video transmission, particularly over low bandwidths has garnered national and international attention and has led to a host of new deals further enhancing the company’s brand visibility. While October saw the company attend Milipol in Qatar, November saw Vemotion at Global MSC in Bristol, plus major collaborations developing with Synectics, 360 Vision Technology and iComply.
“We do keep saying at Vemotion that seeing is believing and now the Middle East have had a taste of what we can offer, I’m confident there will be no going back,” added Stewart. “Qatar and the Middle East in general present some unique challenges, but equally Vemotion has some singular solutions for them.”
Headquartered in Thirsk, UK, Vemotion has established a reputation for innovative wireless video transmission know-how capable of delivering live footage from almost any remote location. CCTV cameras can be set up in isolated areas and transmit images back to a command centre anywhere in the world and does not rely on a fast broadband connection to do so.
