Sequans Hires New VP of Marketing and Business Development

CUPERTINO, Calif., and PARIS, France — June 9, 2009 – Sequans Communications, the world’s leading WiMAX chipmaker, has appointed Craig Miller to the position of vice president of marketing and business development, where he will work closely with the executive team on strategy development and will head Sequans’ marketing and business development programs. Miller spent 18 years at Intel in various marketing and business development roles and most recently was VP of product management and marketing at NextWave Wireless.

“Craig’s experience makes him a perfect fit for Sequans,” said Georges Karam, Sequans CEO. “His long experience with world leading semiconductor company Intel, combined with his recent experience at NextWave’s startup WiMAX semiconductor business, gives him a unique set of skills that will be invaluable as we continue in our mission to become the world leading provider of 4G semiconductor solutions.”

At NextWave Wireless, Miller led the business strategy and product planning team for NextWave’s Semiconductor Division where he was responsible for product management and marketing for a portfolio of WiMAX and LTE chipsets. During his 18 years at Intel, Miller held increasingly responsible marketing and business development positions for several Intel business units, including the Wireless Networking Group where he defined product requirements, secured OEM design wins, developed key carrier customer business, and championed the first of several generations of wireless LAN silicon and modules at the core of Intel’s Centrino™ mobile technology platform.

“Sequans is a great company with extraordinary execution ability,” said Miller. “What they’ve accomplished in bringing nine high performing chips to market in the last five years is truly astonishing. I am thrilled to be joining Sequans, especially at this point in its history where it is on the cusp of becoming a leading global provider of 4G semiconductor solutions.”
