YQ Matrix, – 1 million euro saving in five seconds. The industry discovered the great potential of the YQ Matrix for the 21st century procurement. The YQ Matrix is now shortlisted as finalist for the “Best Procurement Service Provider Award 2014”. The award-ceremony of Procurement Leaders takes place on May 20st in London. Last Year, the IPSERA jury already selected the innovative YQ Matrix for its academic IPSERA Conference in Nantes (France). Among its users, you will find Procurement professionals from Fortune 500 companies, but also from SME’s.

YQ Matrix (www.YQmatrix.com), a website platform, provides advice to all big and small companies worldwide on where to buy cheaper or better quality goods. Professionals can quickly follow the evolution of pricing and volumes on a worldwide scale for more than 16000 products and ingredients, also those that have not been available on the market so far (e.g.specific chemicals). Users can speed up their sourcing process by as much as fifty times.

The YQ Matrix is a development of YQ Purchasing, a Belgian Company.

Thierry Decocq – Managing Director of YQ Purchasing: “Thanks to simple graphics, companies worldwide notice in five seconds from which countries they can buy cheaper or better products, instead of wasting two or more months on putting together market analyses. The “Dynamic Data Filter Technology”, validated by Maastricht University, allows the extraction of data from a wide variety of international statistics and subsequently converts them in useful Price and Sourcing graphs.”

Consultation of the YQ Matrix is free of charge. Anyone with an internet access can start using the tool immediately. The YQ matrix already helped some of the procurement professionals to save more than one million euro.

Weekly visitors come from more than fifty different countries spread over the five continents. Moreover, unlike traditional data sources, the YQ Matrix allows voting on the usefulness of the consulted graphs. This results in a huge increase of the graph’s reliability.

The YQ Matrix has now been shortlisted as finalist for the “Best Service Provider Award 2014” of Procurement Leaders in London on coming May 20st.

Last year, the academic jury of the IPSERA (International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association) selected the YQ Matrix at the IPSERA Procurement Conference in Nantes (France) for its new tools and techniques. The University of Maastricht uses the YQ Matrix in its students’ training program.

A new generation of digital procurement professionals is emerging.
