Ovum bolsters its financial services sector offering with the appointment of ex-CBA’s Denise Montgomery as Research Director
Melbourne 27 February 2012, Ovum has appointed Denise Montgomery (formerly at CBA) as its new Research Director, Asia Pacific Financial Services. The move reinforces Ovum’s commitment to providing unrivalled insight in the financial services sector. The experience that Montgomery brings will help shape new areas of research, while strengthening the independent technology analyst firm’s financial services proposition.
As the research director of the Financial Services team at Ovum, Denise’s main focus will be the pragmatic use and integration of Business Intelligence and Information Management in Financial Institutions as well as Enterprise Architecture, Applications & Strategy and the integration of Finance, Risk, CRM, and Sales information, systems and processes.

Prior to Ovum, Denise has held executive and senior management positions in a range of Financial Institutions including ANZ (Head of Finance Systems & MIS), CBA (Executive Director of Group Information Services), NAB (Enterprise Domain owner), NRMA (Programme Manager: Retail Development & Support) and AXA/NM (Service Development & Business Transformation).
Her 20 years’ experience working in various financial institutions has given her in depth knowledge of Enterprise Information, Strategy and Architecture (Technology and Solutions), Transformation, Business Process Re-engineering Programmes, Outsourcing and Service Management.
