Paper from Farmed Trees raised Interest in Bureaux Expo 2011

April, 2011, Paris – The trade conference may have ended but optimism is on the high side for Double A after receiving an overwhelming response from trade visitors toward its sustainable fiber sourcing Paper from Farmed Trees (PFFT).

Double A’s farmed tree concept has raised interest among trade visitors in France where using recycled paper and paper with environmental labels is the norm.  Some have expressed their eagerness to give the brand a try after learning about its sustainable concept.

As the only paper brand in the recently concluded Bureaux fair in Paris, Double A has attracted a big number of trade visitors through its unique sustainable PFFT. The Thai paper brand therefore has managed to leave a positive impression and high hopes for product trial among the visitors.

PFFT supplies 100% of Double A’s fiber needs without harming natural forest which is good for the environment, community and with social benefits.  PFFT is one of the main grounds for Double A’s qualification as one of the 17 companies and the only paper brand in the trade fair.   Only brands who have met the strict criteria of the expo’s jury can join the “Green Office” section.

The Bureaux Expo’s 3- day fair has attracted over 10,000 trade visitors and over 200 exhibitors from all over Europe.

Double A has revolutionized the future of the paper industry by introducing the remarkable Farmed Trees concept. This concept is the result of intensive research & development and the noble intention to simultaneously develop agriculture in Thailand. In addition to delivering benefits such as improved geographic area, climate and skills/experience of Thai farmers, Double A has found the perfect tree which can be felled after only 3 or 5 years; the eucalyptus tree. The tree is planted in open areas between and around rice fields and other crops. This is how the raw materials are delivered for the production of high-quality Double A paper.  Sustainable development is stimulated, considering that no materials are obtained from natural forests. And in addition, Double A offers more than one and a half million country farmers in Thailand additional income, which adds up to over one third of their annual income; and in return, they take good care of our Farmed Trees during the growth process. In addition Double A Paper from Farmed Trees absorbs carbon dioxide gas and reduces the CO2-emission.
