Double A, launches ‘Double A “Better Paper, Better World” Environmental Awareness Campaign’

Double A Korea, premium copy paper company (www.DoubleApaper.co.kr) held a press conference at the Millennium Hilton Hotel, announcing its new ‘Double A “Better Paper, Better World” Environmental awareness campaign’

Double A entered Korean market in 2002 and since then Double A has been leading premium copy paper market with its slogan, ‘No Jam, No Stress’, pushing various consumer marketing programs and brand activities. In October 2010, Double A is launching its newest environmental awareness campaign in Korea to promote and increase awareness on global warming and prevention initiative around the world.

Double A takes nature and environment seriously and every single sheet of paper is made from the eco-friendly manufacturing process. Double A sources paper from Double A Paper-Tree from KHAN-NA (Planting in unused spaces between paddy-field, sugarcane, cassava and tapioca crops) to produce high quality paper without damaging the environment. Such process and technology absorbed Co2 while producing plenty of oxygen. From the UNFCCC criterion, the use of Double A’s one book of copy paper can reduce 12.5kg of CO2.

Double A (1991) Public Company Limited Senior Executive Vice President, Mr. Thirawit Leetavorn said at the conference, “Double A’s ‘Better Paper, Better World’ Environment Awareness Campaign will increase the awareness of nature, serious issues concerning deforestation and the protection of our environment. This is our company’s social responsibility and it means so much to us.” He added “We will actively engage in environment protection and plan to have various activities to share Double A’s eco-friendly corporate culture.”

In today’s press conference Choi Yeol, the president of GreenFund Organization, and Lee Mee-Kyung, chairman of the board of the GreenFund organization came came to address Double A’s donation program. Double A will be donating total of KRW 100,000,000 to GreenFund’s Climate Change Center. Its donation fund will be distributed to support Climate Change Center’s 4 major programs (Education, Policy/Research, Campaign, International network). Climate Change Center is pan-nation organization established in 2008 for effective cope with the climate change problem from government, corporation, and academia’s collaboration.

At the conference Choi Yeol, the president of GreenFund Organization said, “We very much appreciate Double A’s support and donation to the Climate Change Center. We will work together to sustain our precious environment.”

Starting with today’s press conference, Double A Korea will be launching various marketing programs including TV Advertising, street event and smart-phone game related to the ‘Double A “Better Paper, Better World” Environment Awareness Campaign’. TV advertising will meet the viewers with eye-catching animation and street event is going to be held in core business district of Seoul, meeting the Korean customers with amusing events and gifts. Also with smart phone applications, customers can download game and win prizes. The game is also available on-line for customers to participate in “Better Paper, Better World” Environment Awareness Campaign.
