TYAN推出機架型機殼模組 (Case Kit) KGT / KFT系列

Jan. 23rd, 2008, Taipei—機架型準系統在白牌伺服器市場的需求，逐年增加。由原廠同步供應的準系統，在機構、散熱(thermal)及理線(cabling)上都已做好相容測試及優化，除了提高系統運作時的穩定性及安全性，也替通路上的系統整合商 (System Integrators, SI)節省系統散熱的設計及測試成本。

白牌伺服器平台的主要供應商之ㄧ的TYAN，一向以核心產品¬–伺服器/工作站平台及機架型伺服器準系統為銷售主力。為提供系統組裝的最大彈性，也使通路客戶能更有效控制庫存，TYAN推出機架型機殼模組KGT/KFT系列。KGT/KFT系列可同時與泰安多款不同的Intel Xeon平台或是AMD Opteron平台相容。通路客戶可先訂購機殼模組，直到確認最終用戶所需規格後，再行採購適合的伺服器主機板。如此可增加庫存的流通及降低庫存成本。

此次推出的KGT系列為1U機架型伺服器機殼，包括
– KGT24MX (1U, 4組硬碟抽取盒 HDD Trays, 25.4”深)

KFT系列則為4U/Tower機架型伺服器機殼
– KFT48M1 (4U, 8組硬碟抽取盒 HDD Trays, 27.5”深, Single 700W PSU PSW or 750W 1+1 Redundant PSU)

相較於前一代KGT-500系列，此次發布的兩個系列產品有多項進步，包括:
– I/O shield可按照所搭配的不同主機板做更換，提高機殼的廣泛相容性
– KGT採用高效率 (80 plus) 400W/600W電源供應器，可將電源器效率提升至80%以上及降低能源損耗與電力成本
– 採用滾珠滑軌。除了在抽拉時更流暢外，也降低所產生的噪音，更延長使用壽命
– KGT24MX硬碟背板的硬碟插槽分列於四個硬碟抽取盒後方，縮短與硬碟接線的距離，可提高硬碟間的資料傳輸效率
– ＨＤＤ硬碟背板訊號線採用最高規格的ＳＡＳ專用訊號線 (High Performance Cable)，可降低資料傳輸的延遲 (latency)及資料漏失 (Data lose)
