HITCHIN, UK – 2 August 2010: Tekmos today announced a range of balun adaptors to support Dual E1 channels in a compact lightweight format. The Quad Port Balun Adaptor range has been developed to match the increased capacity being rolled out across the telecommunications and data sectors.

The Quad Port Balun Adaptor range supports the latest range of network interface cards with multiple E1 channels on a single RJ45 connector. This configuration supports increased circuit densities whilst reducing wiring and installation costs.

The Quad Port Balun Adaptors provide signal conversion and impedance matching between 4 coax connections (75 ohm) and one RJ45 twisted pair (120 ohm) connection for a total capacity of two E1 class links. Compliant with ITU-T G703, the adaptors support data rates up to 8.192 Mbps.

Available immediately, the Quad Port Balun Adaptor range can be supplied with BNC or 1.6/5.6 coax connectors.
