ShowStoppers & MobileTrax form alliance to produce mobile & wireless press/demo events

AUSTIN, TX. and WELLINGTON, FL., 15 June 2010 – ShowStoppers and MobileTrax are teaming up to produce a series of press and demo events that define the future of mobile and wireless innovation.

Hundreds of top journalists, analysts, bloggers and industry innovators will preview new mobile and wireless devices, apps, software, services and tools for work, home and play at the fourth-annual ShowStoppers for the Mobile Holidays, an invitation-only press event.

A limited number of ShowStoppers exhibitors will also make four-minute demo presentations at Wireless Innovators, an invitation-only dinner produced by MobileTrax for senior industry and financial execs, venture capitalists and selected journalists.

In addition, device makers, software developers and wireless operators attending Wireless Innovators will also be invited to exhibit at ShowStoppers for the Mobile Holidays — and ShowStoppers will also organize table-top exhibits of new products and services during Wireless Innovators.

Both events are scheduled for Wednesday, 6 Oct. 2010, in San Francisco, during CTIA Enterprise & Applications, the international tradeshow focused on mobile business.

“I have known the ShowStoppers team for years and participated in many of their events. We’ve finally decided to work together in a way that’s positive for all who participate,” said J. Gerry Purdy, Ph.D., Principal Analyst with MobileTrax LLC. “Wireless Innovators brings together top executives from the mobile and wireless industry in a dinner setting. ShowStoppers will manage the vendor showcase before and after the dinner. And, some participating vendors in Wireless Innovators will also participate in ShowStoppers.”

“We’re pleased to be working with Dr. Purdy, a leading mobile and wireless analyst known for his ability to identify firms, products and services that will make an impact on the mobile and wireless industries,” said Steve Leon, partner, ShowStoppers. “We share a common goal: Helping software, messaging, security, services, marketing, commerce, notebook, tablet, smartphone, e-reader, voice, wireless and other startups, upstarts, innovators and industry leaders to score news coverage and product reviews, raise capital, and do business together.”

“ShowStoppers & MobileTrax are creating true synergy,” said Purdy. “Each organization is respected and serves different segments within the mobile and wireless industry. ShowStoppers and MobileTrax will cross-sell the two events. We have created a bundled package that allows vendors in the mobile and wireless industry to participate in both ShowStoppers and Wireless Innovators at a price that is significantly less than if the vendor were to participate in the events separately. And we look forward to extending this alliance to future mobile and wireless trade show events.”
