Digital Fashion Week Singapore 2014 Plans to Break New Social Media Record with Check-In App zkipster
SINGAPORE and NEW YORK, NY, October 21, 2014 – This year’s Digital Fashion Week Singapore (DFW SG) is set to break a new social media engagement record. Digital Fashion Week Singapore partnered with the guest-list app zkipster to check in attendees during the four-day event at the National Design Center. By using zkipster and its add-on tools zSocial and zFace, Digital Fashion Week will provide a fast and personalised event check-in experience for attendees. The event check-in via zkipster also marks the beginning of an unprecedented digital engagement with show attendees. Once registered, guests will receive individual messages via Twitter that will encourage them to share their thoughts and impressions and connect with attendees and designers via social media, using the hashtag #DigitalFashionWeek.
“The unique combination of events and digital platforms has established our Digital Fashion Week events as a powerful runway stage for fashion designers and brands. Through our partnership with zkipster we can now personalise the digital event experience for our guests. This year we can engage with onsite event attendees after check-in and offer them new ways to experience the show and share that experience with their online audience,” says Charina Widjaja, Co-founder of Digital Fashion Week.
zSocial enables Digital Fashion Week to directly connect with guests via the @DigitalFashWeek Twitter handle and the #DigitalFashionWeek. After the event, the Digital Fashion Week team can pull reports on social media interactions on Twitter and Instagram. This feature also monitors the amplification that occurs through the activation tweet sent to each Digital Fashion Week guest.
“Fashion shows are among the most talked about events on Twitter and Instagram. It’s a tremendous opportunity for fashion brands and organizations to turn social media buzz into lasting digital relationships and this can start from the moment guests enter the show floor,” says David Becker, co-founder of zkipster. “Digital Fashion Week is Asia’s most digitally forward event: it makes a strong connection on the show floor between designers, corporate buyers, and consumers and extends that connection to digital platforms.”
Digital Fashion Week Singapore will be held from 31st October to 3rd November in collaboration with the British Council. It is supported by Design Singapore Council and Singapore Tourism Board and will take place at National Design Centre.
