Liberty Global Selects Axiros for Service and Device Management

(Munich, Germany) – Liberty Global (NASDAQ: LBTYA), the leading international cable operator, has selected Axiros, a technology leader in open device management, to remotely provision and manage its customer premise equipment (CPE) across a new B2B Voice over Internet (VoIP) service. The partnership establishes Axiros as a unique TR-069 device management provider to Liberty Global, a multi-billion dollar corporation, for three years.

Specifically, Liberty Global will begin its partnership with Axiros with the deployment of Axiros’ flagship product, AXESS.ACS, within its SoHo division and then extend from there to other strategic projects. SoHo customers demand high quality service, especially when it comes to VoIP, and AXESS.ACS will allow Liberty Global to meet those demands. Another key consideration for Liberty Global – a company with operations in 14 countries across Europe and in Latin America – was Axiros’ ability to manage devices across numerous countries.

About AXESS.ACS

Like all Axiros products, AXESS.ACS is built on an open platform, delivering TR-069 management on any compatible device and any access network. Its single framework design enables close to linear scalability while securing very short implementation periods. AXESS.ACS will allow Liberty Global to:

  • Reduce deployment and support costs, lead times and complexity;
  • Deploy new subscriber services;
  • Deliver an enhanced customer experience with quicker response times; and
  • Target innovative connected devices within the SME.

Axiros CEO Kurt Peterhans says he is pleased to partner with Liberty Global. “We’re very proud to have been selected by LGI to lay the foundation here for future strategic Device & Service Management,” he says. “The Axiros solution platform will provide a competitive advantage by ensuring seamless quality of experience & profitability.”

The Liberty Global B2B VoIP platform is now live.
