Electropages Launches iPad App For Electronics Design Engineers
The new Electropages iPad app; ‘ Electronics News ‘ is now available as a FREE download from the Apple iTunes store.
The app allows users to quickly get information about the latest industry product releases from leading manufacturers and distributors, and offers a quick and easy way to purchase products that are in stock and ready to buy. With over 1000 downloads in its first week, this app is proving to be very popular with industry professionals.
“It is important for our long-term growth that we maintain our place in the fast-growing global marketplace,” said Electropages publisher and founder, Craig Dyball. “We have effectively created a new facet to our operation which we expect will grow significantly in the near future and potentially explosively in the long term. It is also crucial for us to ensure our advertisers are presented with the same potential for new growth too. In particular, we have distributors who deliver to most countries in the world, often on a same-day dispatch basis, all year round. This new app represents these core component suppliers to engineers and designers who have access to the iPad . It is very much a value-added service for our advertisers, a new parallel outlet for our main website editorial news content, and a business tool designed to help engineers to do their jobs in an increasingly mobile workplace”.
Electropages worked with Zeta digital marketing agency to develop the app. Roger Allen, Managing Director of Zeta Agency, said: “Here at Zeta we recognise the growing demand for businesses to offer fast, user-friendly solutions in order to stay ahead in the global marketplace. Electronic design is a constantly evolving industry, and the new Electropages app an ideal way to deliver the latest electronics industry news to iPad users whether they’re in the office or on the go.
“Not only this, but by developing an app, businesses can demonstrate professionalism and commitment to providing the best service to the people that matter.”
There are plans for Electropages to join forces with Zeta again in 2012 to develop an Android version of the app.
