GLDS and Telelynx Launch Digital in Japan
CARLSBAD, Calif. and TAIWAN, Japan – Dec. 17, 2010 – Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. (GLDS), the leading provider of PC-based subscriber management and billing systems for the cable television industry, and Telelynx Inc., today announce they have successfully automated digital video service delivery at Mediatti Broadband. Based in Okinawa, Japan, Mediatti offers advanced cable TV and high-speed Internet services to more than 14,000 military members and their families. GLDS has recently integrated with the Telelynx’s LynxCrypt conditional access platform and the result is flow-through service management of digital video services, directly from GLDS’ WinCable® billing system.
“We originally chose WinCable because we knew they were flexible enough to work with any digital vendor we selected,” said Mediatti’s President Blake Williams. “The integration has automated the service delivery process so that a customer service representative (CSR) can control the initiation, delivery and suspension of video service and internet. We have a complete system that works end to end, making both CSRs and management happy. Everyone has worked together and we’re moving forward with new features as a team.”
The integration eliminates the need for multiple disparate systems, and allows operators to manage Telelynx’s LynxCrypt CAS Platform without additional provisioning steps. Direct provisioning from the billing system will allow Mediatti to manage digital video service delivery more efficiently, minimize revenue loss and ensure a higher level of customer satisfaction. Mediatti plans for 100 percent penetration with its digital services. Automation was a critical part of ensuring smooth services delivery.
“WinCable has been designed to provide flow-through provisioning to any service delivery platform,” said GLDS’ Vice President of Operations Garrick Russell. “We’re pleased to add TeleLynx to a list of more than 70 interface partners and even more happy that we were able to meet the needs of our customer, Mediatti.”
“GLDS and Telelynx will partner on similar projects to enable flow-through provisioning for operators worldwide,” says Telelynx’s President Gordon Chen.
