Animate Shatner Contest Extended! Myouterspace and Toon Boom Accepting Entries Now Until December 3rd!

Montreal (November 18, 2010) – Thanks to all the great animators out there, we’ve received videos from around the world with all kinds of great visuals and variations. With a last minute flurry of contest entries, we want to make sure we aren’t closing the door on some great talent – so we’re accommodating demand by pushing back the submission period for the Animate Shatner contest to December 3rd.

That’s another two weeks for new and registered members to download the Shatner voice clips from myouterspace.com/toonboom and craft 20 to 25 seconds of video animating their own version of sci-fi icon William Shatner.

Please note the new dates along with updated terms and conditions on the official contest pages.  The new deadline to upload videos to toonboom.com/myouterspace is December 3, 2010, 11:59 pm PST and the new voting period will start on December 10 until December 22.  The winner will be announced on December 23.

There’s still time for newcomers to the contest to download Toon Boom Animate Pro trial version and take a crack at envisioning a video for one of Mr. Shatner’s three voiceover clips. There’s some great prizes up for grabs, including two scholarships to online courses with our education sponsor, unparalleled art school Academy of Art University. In the meantime, keep a look out for upcoming announcements from Myouterspace, including the animated project our top winner will be working with us on.
