Isola Announces New Asia-Pacific Technology Center in Taiwan
CHANDLER, Ariz., July 10, 2014— Isola Group S.à r.l., a market leader in copper-clad laminates and dielectric prepreg materials used to fabricate advanced multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs),today announced the relocation of its Asia-Pacific Technology Center from Singapore to a new state-of-the art facility located in Yangmei, Taiwan. The company’s manufacturing operations in Singapore are not affected by this announcement. The new Technology Center in Taiwan is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2014; customer support will not be affected by the relocation.
The new Taiwan Technology Center, which will support the increased demand for Isola’s high-speed digital materials and RF/microwave and millimeter wave substrates in the Asia-Pacific region, will be co-located with the company’s flagship Advanced Engineered Dielectrics Manufacturing Center in Yangmei, Taiwan.
Isola’s Technology Centers conduct electrical, thermal and mechanical characterizations of resin components and laminate materials used in the production of printed circuit boards, utilizing advanced test equipment to ensure accurate results in a rapid-response environment. The Technology Centers support not only the company’s R&D and manufacturing activities, but also extends their analytical services to Isola’s customers, relieving the engineering teams at PCB fabricators, as well as the OEMs they serve, from expensive in-house testing. Isola is the only laminate materials supplier to offer such advanced testing capabilities to the electronics industry.
“Relocating our Singapore Technology Center to our premier Taiwan facility better aligns our resources with our commitment to provide superior service to our Asia-Pacific customers,” stated Matt LaRont, President of Isola Asia-Pacific Ltd. He continued, “The rapid growth of our newest dielectric materials has been driven primarily by customers in Taiwan, Korea and the People’s Republic of China.”
